2. General Information on the Processing of Personal Data

As a general rule, we collect and use our users' personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website as well as our content and services. The collection and use of our users' personal data regularly takes place only with the user's consent. An exception applies in cases in which obtaining prior consent is not possible for factual reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by statutory provisions.

Insofar as we obtain the user's consent (also referred to as the “data subject”) for personal data processing operations, Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis. When processing personal data that is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures.
Insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR serves as the legal basis.
In the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Art. 6 (1) lit. d GDPR serves as the legal basis.
If processing is necessary for the purposes of a legitimate interest pursued by our company or a third party and the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not override the aforementioned interest, Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing.

The personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Data may additionally be stored if this has been provided for by the European or national legislature in Union regulations, laws or other provisions to which the controller is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted when a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless further storage of the data is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract.

When you contact us by email, the data you provide will be stored by us in order to answer your question. We delete the data arising in this context after storage is no longer necessary, i.e. the purpose of storage no longer applies, or restrict processing if statutory retention obligations exist.

If we use commissioned service providers for individual functions of our offering or wish to use your data for commercial purposes, we will inform you below in detail about the respective processes. In doing so, we also state the specified criteria for the storage period.

3. Your Rights as a Data Subject

4. Collection of Personal Data When Visiting Our Website

As a rule, our website can be used without providing personal data. The data is also stored in our system's log files. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user (the legal basis is Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR).

Storage in log files takes place in order to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data serves us in optimizing the website and ensuring the security of our information technology systems. The data is not evaluated for marketing purposes in this context.

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of collecting data to provide the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.

In the case of storing data in log files, this is the case after no more than 9 weeks. Storage beyond this period is possible. In this case, the users' IP addresses are deleted or altered so that it is no longer possible to identify the accessing client.

The collection of data for providing the website and the storage of the data in log files is strictly necessary for operating the website. Consequently, the user has no option to object.
